informed, succinct recent history of HD earlier
in the forum?
It isn't just HD that craps out when new. Back in
the 70s Yamaha made a vertical twin 650. In an
attempt to capture the look and feel of my old
Triumph, I bought one. New. Over the course of
a seven month riding season I put the grand total
of 1100 km on it. EVERYTHING was wrong with this
bike. It almost put me off bikes forever.
And yes I had breakdowns with HD, and also my
Bonny, and my Honda, and my first Suzuki. Also,
sometimes it isn't what you ride, but, how you
ride it.
